Prior to the day of your procedure, please complete the St. Andrew’s Hospital on-line patient check in via the link - http://standrewshospital.com.au/patients-and-visitors/book-my-admission
On the day of the procedure, please check in at the main hospital reception located at the Wickham Terrance main entrance. Here, your papework will be finalized prior to you been escorted to the endoscopy unit located on the same floor (Level 3).
The endoscopy nursing staff will perform a pre-procedure assessment and assist you in preparation of your procedure. Dr. Lee’s anesthetist will subsequently perform their anaesethetic assessment prior to your procedure. Dr. Lee will be available to answer any questions prior to the commencement of your sedation and procedure.
After the procedure, you will be recovered in the endoscopy unit until you are fully recovered from the sedation. Dr. Lee will speak with you briefly about any major findings of your procedure. You will be offered a drink and something light to eat before being discharged into the care of a responsible adult picking you up.
